Evening Teaching sessions: |

Vikas Vartul has been providing various basic education to students
for last 15 years. Thousands of students have taken advantage of this
activity. |

IQ Test: |
|
|
IQ tests
have been arranged since 1980 in the whole of Gujarat for students of
standard 5 to college students. In the current year 20,000 students
have participated in these IQ tests. These tests give them the
experience of competitive exams and expose them to the environment of
the competitive world and increase their change of securing admissions
or jobs. |

Student Development: |

Various competitions like drawing, elocution, rangoli,
home decoration, jokes, quiz, child-story, child-song, cultural
programs etc. are arranged for the students of Bhavnagar city to
develop student interest in arts & literature as well as culture. Picnics,
bicycle tours, walking tours etc are arranged to encourage
interaction. |

Relief Work: |

At the time of the Machcchu Dam Accident in Morbi, Cyclone in
Porbandar-Kandla, Bhavnagar Cyclone and recently the earthquake in the
Kuccha district the organization had carried out various activities to
stand up the people again. Plastic tents were provided to thousands of
people in Kuccha district. Medical camps and kitchen were also started
for the injured people. In the time of vacation, children-fair was
organized for thousands of children of 11 Talukas. |

Profession-oriented Guidance: |

The monthly magazine “Sarvottam Karkirdee”, which is the only career
oriented magazine of Gujarat. It has been started since December 1990
to provide genuine information about competitive exams like bank,
railway, military school and other officer level examinations as well
as for the purpose of personality development, general knowledge,
higher education, profession oriented education and business.
Government of Gujarat sponsors this magazine for about 1600 schools
since 1997. Thousands of students could make their bright career by
the help of this magazine. |

Save Environment:
|

Vikas Vartul has also carried out the program of Smoke-less Chulas in
villages to protect the environment. With the help of Gujarat Energy
Development Agency, Vadodara, the work of developing Smoke-less Chulas
in more than 100 villages is carried out to save health, cleanliness
and environment. |

Educational Guidance: |
| |
The activity of filling & sending different forms on behalf of the
students of standard 10 and 12 is carried out since many years.
Moreover, sessions about “What after standard 10-12 ?” is arranged in
most of the districts including Bhavnagar, Rajkot, Surendranagar,
Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Kheda, Anand, Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Surat,
Valsad and Navsari. The articles like “What after standard 10?”, “What
after standard 12 ?” and “What after graduation?” are published every
year. |

Library: |
| |
Library plays an important part as reference for better thinking and
development. Vikas Vartud has a library with 1500+ regular members.
Library has books on various subjects like Employment, Competitive
Tests, Science, Computer, Information Technology, General Knowledge
etc. Several weekly magazines on above mentioned subjects are
available along with 20+ National news papers. Library has received
Award from Raja Rammohan Roy Committee, Kolkatta in the year 1998. |
